Discharge Status Code Descriptions

The Noridian Medicare Portal (NMP) provides the Discharge Status code and description for inpatient stays under the Hospital/SNF tab in the Eligibility Inquiry results. At this time, not all descriptions are provided, which can cause frustrations when performing billing for your facility. Noridian will be working to get the discharge code descriptions available in the coming months.
