Prior Authorization Request Submission and Status Now Available in the Noridian Medicare Portal for Part A Users

The Noridian Medicare Portal (NMP) now allows Part A users to submit Prior Authorization Requests (PAR) and view the decision letter following review. At this time, PAR submissions are only required for certain Hospital Outpatient Department (OPD) services.
Part A users will need to request access to the Prior Authorization function in NMP by going to Manage Account and then the Provider/Supplier Combinations tab of your NMP account.
Currently, PAR submissions are submitted by completing and uploading the PAR coversheet. An electronic form within the portal will become available within the coming months.
