Medical Review Information in NMP

06/03/2026 | 12:33 PM

Noridian is aware that some providers are experiencing issues and limitations in the Noridian Medicare Portal (NMP) related to Claim Status, Prior Authorization, Targeted Probe and Educate (TPE) and Additional Documentation Request (ADR) features. We understand the importance of a reliable portal experience and appreciate your patience as we work to improve portal functionality and usability.

Current Issues and Limitations

Noridian is actively tracking several provider-reported concerns, including:

  • Filtering functionality: Difficulty narrowing ADR results for specific providers, which may affect claim and patient searches
  • Prior authorization decision letters: Difficulty viewing or accessing decision letters related to prior authorization requests
  • Part B TPE determinations: Inconsistencies in determinations for certain Part B Targeted Probe and Educate (TPE) claims
  • Documentation upload validation: Limited visibility into whether submitted documentation was successfully uploaded and validated
  • Claims denied due to no response: Review status may not reflect the outcome of a documentation review after submission of documentation after a claim is denied for no response

We understand these issues may affect provider workflows and create uncertainty when managing claims and reviews.

Ongoing Improvement Efforts

Our teams are working to identify root causes and implement solutions to improve portal performance, functionality, and usability. Current efforts include:

  • Enhancing filtering capabilities to support more precise provider-specific searches
  • Improving access to prior authorization decision letters
  • Evaluating and addressing inconsistencies in TPE claim determinations
  • Strengthening documentation upload processes, including clearer validation and confirmation features
  • Improving navigation and the overall user experience

These efforts are part of Noridian's broader work to improve the provider experience in NMP.

What Providers Can Expect

While enhancements are underway, providers may continue to experience intermittent limitations. Noridian is working to implement improvements as efficiently as possible, with a focus on long-term system stability and usability.

Providers are encouraged to:

  • Report persistent or significant issues through established support channels such as the Provider Contact Center.
  • Use alternative resources, such reaching out to case manager when applicable or the Provider Contact Center, when needed
  • Monitor Noridian communications for updates and enhancement announcements

Commitment to Providers
Noridian remains committed to providing a secure, reliable, and user-friendly portal experience. We value your partnership and appreciate your patience as we continue to improve NMP.

Additional updates will be shared as improvements are implemented.
