Password and Login Requirement Changes - Effective May 6, 2024

Effective May 6, 2024, the Noridian Medicare Portal (NMP) is making changes to user passwords and login requirements. NMP passwords will be prompted to change every 365 days instead of every 60 days. The structure of your password will change as well. The new password requirements are as follows:
- Must be between 12 and 50 characters.
- Must include at least 3 numbers.
- Must have at least 3 symbol (non-letter or number) characters.
- Must have at least 3 lowercase letters.
- Must have at least 3 uppercase letters.
- New password may not have been used previously.
- Cannot be one of the last 12 passwords used.
Also going into effect on May 6, 2024, user accounts with no activity will be disabled after 30 days (previously 60 days). These requirements will be rolled out in phases starting May 6th. Users with no activity for the past 45 days will be disabled on May 6th. On May 20th, any account with no activity for 30 days will be disabled. Once an account is disabled, the Provider Administrator for your facility will need to enable the account.
